Yes, the battle has been a bloody one. Predictibly, time has passed on, and my laziness has increased to the point that this is my first update of this spot since our return from Beijing. As it happens, I'm now on the verge of the Next Great Adventure.
Our flight departs Incheon Airport at 10:30am on March 5th. We're headed for a one hour layover in Bangkok before continuing to our final destination of Hanoi, Vietnam. We have two nights booked at a hostel in Hanoi, following which, we plan to visit
Halong Bay. Following Halong Bay, we're planning to venture South, to Hoi An, where we'll spend a couple of days and get some clothes made. From there, it will be on to probably Nha Trang for a day or two before arriving in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly known as Saigon.)
After spending a few days with our friend Anic in HCMC, it'll be on to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. We're planning to spend a few days in Phnom Pehn. Among other things, we plan to visit the Killing Fields, the Royal Palace, and some markets before heading north to Angkor Wat and Siem Reap. The length of our stay here will depend largely on how much time we have left overall.
Upon our arrival in Thailand, we plan to spend a day or two in Bangkok before heading North to the city of Chiang Mai. Again, the length of our stay in Chiang Mai will depend largely on how much time we have left before the March 31st flight out of Bangkok and back to Seoul.
My access to the internet could be limited during the month. . . Especially through the more remote parts of Cambodia, I think. I will do my best to update this page regularly (at least more regularly than I have so far in 2006).
