It was the last week of Snow when my sister and mom went to Seoul, South Korea. It was my first time there and did not know what to expect but I really had fun in my 5 day trip to Seoul. We had a hard time in finding our hotel there because Koreans can't speak English. Some of the Natives were friendly but they cannot speak English. My advise for you is to print out a brochure of the name of your hotel in Korean so you will not have a hard to time in looking for it. We stayed at Hyundai Residence Seoul. It was a very cheap and affordable hotel and has a very nice location. We took a city tour of Seoul on our first day. The best way you can travel Seoul is by taking a hop on hop off bus which costs about 10,000 won or $10. They will take you to a tour of Seoul's finest tourist destinations like the President's House, Temples,Palaces, Historical Places and Shopping Areas. We also went Bargain Shopping at Dongdaemun Market and Namdaemun Market. In some malls, shopping lasts up to the wee hours in the morning. If
you are looking for cheap make-up, nail polish or body creams the best place is Skin Food, Face Shop and Etude House. But if you are looking for the expensive stuffs the best place for you is Myungdong. This is where you can find LV, Chanel, Prada, Zara and H&M.
On our second day, we went to the Demilitarized Zone. This is the borderline between Communist North Korea and South Korea. It is a must see for this country because you will learn so many things about the history of how their country was divided. The trip will take you about 2 to 3 hours from Seoul by bus. You can contact your hotel for this tour. On our third day We went to Bear's Town it's the nearest Ski Resort in Seoul it will take you an hour and a half by bus. It was my first time to ski and I had fun but it took a hard time for me to stand up. My best advise for you is to first try Snow Boarding because it is much easier than skiing. Our Last Day was time for Shopping and sight seeing of Seoul. In the
evening, we joined the night tour to the famous Seoul City Tower where you can see the view of the whole city of Seoul. We had fun here because there was a light show. The food in Korea is quite interesting because it is quite spicy and sweet and most of it have vegetables. South Korea is a very nice Country to Go to and also has a nice culture and you can travel Seoul for two days. But everything is expensive there. I love Seoul, Korea because it's truly the SOUL of Asia.
