Seoul was great. We did our best to stay dry (it rained all day) it was really easy to get around the city. And we took advantage of the tourist information booths they have everywhere. In fact we went into the same one at least 4 times. The lady at the counter laughed much at us. Also Ryan and I decided Seoul’s Incheon airport is our favorite so far. Its like a mall. A fancy high-end mall with Gucci, Channel, and Coach. We can’t afford shit there but it is nice to look at.
Ryan happened to notice something while we were coming through Seoul on the way to Thailand. Almost every single couple was wearing matching outfits. He had counted like 13 in just a few minutes. Apparently it’s the cool thing to do there. So after arguing about who was going to match the others’ clothes, Ryan and I finally decided we just could never make it work. So we won’t match. (But if we did…..he would definitely have to match mine)
Well I hope everyone enjoyed our blog. We both had a great time. It really was an amazing trip; I’d go back to Thailand
in a heartbeat.
Now I just have to decide where to next! (Sorry Ryan )
Just to sum up the trip. I’ve compiled a list of things you might see on any block in Thailand.
You might be in Thailand if:
You see Pictures of the King on ever corner
You see 7-11s on ever corner
There are stray dogs everywhere you look
There are more scooters than you’ve ever seen in your life
You see four (adult) people on one small scooter
There are an unbelievable number of people in the back of small trucks
You see fat, old, greasy, white men with young Thai girls
You see Massage parlors on every block
The people are always smiling
People drive insane but somehow never collide with other people
Tuk-Tuks are literally EVERYWHERE
There are plenty of Ladyboys around
Things learned from this trip:
Tuk-Tuk drivers can read minds. Also, they drive insane.
Smiling is a universal language
Traveling on your own is much more enjoyable than with a group
The worst part of a trip is when you get back and the next day it feels as if it never really happened.
Like you are back in your little world just as before…unchanged.
