Fingers crossed because if all goes well, I will have 24 days with my family (+ 2 days of travel), which is a grand total of 26 days of vacation. I have finally gotten around to writing the info down for my coie. For sure I will have 2 weeks to go home for renewing my contract and for sure I will have 7 days of vacation, seperate from the two weeks. The big question is if I will be able to take the time at one time, which is what I REALLY want to do. 2 weeks with my family will not be enough. I will arrive and then leave and be super depressed and bummed... So I am really pushing for the combined vaca time.
The cherry blossoms are amazing. Last night I went with a friend and walked along "Lovers Road" at the univeristy by my house, Yeungnam. It is a street lined with cherry blossoms and Chinese lanterns. I cannot wait to go to Gyeongju tomorrow to see what the hype is all about. Picinicing and biking will be magical. Also, there is a part of me that wants to see Seokguram grotto, the Buddist shrine. I have been to Gyeongju maybe 4 times or 5 and I have seen Bulguksa twice, but never Seokguram. I have heard about Seokgurams beauty and history and am curious to see it in person.
The yoga teachers class at my school is going really well. The turn out is not always phenominal, but I am shaping my style and learning about how different people move and the flow of a class. I have started a journal where I write down the series of poses that we move through during class. It is cool to go back and look at what I have done. I'm really glad that this oppertunity presented itself. Three days I week I get to look forward to a time when teachers at my school come together and just breathe away from the stress of work. I teach in mainly Korean, which is also sweet because it lets me practice that. Holler.
Last night in Body Design class we did partner yoga. My partner happened to have a video camera with him. He makes movies for three TV stations in South Korea. He filmed part of the class and is going to youtube it. I'll post the link when it becomes available. The class was sooo much fun though and hilarious. Negotiating movement with another person can me really difficult! HAHA. I fell over a few times.^^ I really like partner yoga. I would love for the studio to eventually have a class...
