Today we took a 20 min cab into Ilsan and headed to La Festa and Western Dom. These are two vibey shopping/eating areas that the inhabitants of English Village often frequent.

Of course there was plenty of shopping to be done...so mom and I did our thing while the boys hit some balls in a baseball batting cage and got started on the beer outside the local family mart.
Once mom and I were all shopped out, we all took a trip down "meat-street" and settled for a galbi meal - barbequed meat that you cook and eat at the table.

As with any Korean meal the galbi of course comes with many sides including a cold seaweed soup, kimchi, hot jiggae soup, radishes, garlic, lettuce and an egg/tofu dish.
After the delicious meal we went on to Homeplus a large department store where we stocked up on more groceries and home supplies before making our way back home to English Village.

Koreans love to show you what you are about to eat. sometimes the food isn't so happy about it.

Looks like you are having a great time - just wondering what Blake is doing back in Hilton in that pic? Love the sound of all the shopping and all the different foods - hope that mum and dad are up to trying them all!
