Hi everyone... so we are on week 8... Nothing happened week 7... so we skipped that! This week was great! We took the children to the park which was a lot of fun, they ran around and went through mazes. This is the same park that we started doing our aerobics with 50 Korean women every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. Its so much fun we are really taking in the whole Korean culture! I met a few new people this week which has been awesome. The one girl (Caroline) lives in my building and actually got here 3 days before me and yet we had not met yet, so we have been hanging out a lot. We actually started talking about hockey and she has NHL live so we have been watching the sens games as both of us are big fans! 4 of us including one of her other friends did a scavenger hunt on Saturday which was awesome I uploaded pictures of that! We had a list of 90 things.. we were horrible we only got 35 of them in the 2 hours... did not help that we did not have a Korean with us to help translate what
we wanted to do. None the less it was a blast!
Pictures: (Not in order) and I may have uploaded other ones and forgot!
We had to meet a stranger
Find the owner of a bar and get a picture with him
Meditate in a non conventional place ie: on the sidewalk
Find a Korean with facial hair
Get a picture with the whole team in a telephone booth
Do a fighting pose with a korean
Find something that reminded you of home ie: the aboriginal
Find an animal wearing clothes
Get strangers to do a shot of sojo with you
Get children to do a "V" symbol with you
Get children to do a heart symbol with you
Find a matching Korean couple (Very common)
Get a child to make a pyramid you us
Act like a statue
Find Korean traditonal clothing
I cannot remember all of them but that just gives you a sample. We had to take pictures of everyone of the ones we did as they needed proof... There was 60 foreigners who did this in teams of 4 or 5.
After the scavenger hunt we went to a festival that was going
on downtown tons of bands and traditional dances and lots and lots of food! Today (Sunday) we went to the foot spa... another crazy Korean culture thing. We soaked our feet then went to this big tub where little fish actually eat the dead skin off your feet it was insane... then we got a 30 minute foot massage for 10 dollars! All in all this week has been one of the best!
Hope you all enjoy the pictures!
