From Mom and Dad:
Just a couple things that I didn’t mention on our take on Korea. Firstly, on our visit to the worlds largest department store [Shinsaegae]. I’m not sure about all you other guys, but when I go to a mall, all of a sudden my knees start to hurt, which they normally don’t. Maybe it’s a sign. Picture this place the size of a Sears, but each floor is dedicated to a specific department. There are 14 floors. Granted the top 3 are a golf driving range. Still this place was huge. My knees were really acting up. (Just kidding of course). At one point while in the book department (which I wanted to stay at all day), we decided to split up and meet back there at a certain time. Needless to say, I was late getting back, with good reason. I stumbled across the section with the reclining chairs, which were also massage chairs. I found the ultimate massage chair. I buckled myself in and found a salesperson to give me test drive. This thing massaged the bottom of your feet, the sides of your feet, your calfs, your thighs, your hands, forearms, shoulders, back, and neck. It’s no wonder I was late. I couldn’t read the remote on how turn this wonderous chair off, not that I wanted to anyways. That’s the story I gave everyone for being late. Cost of this thing, 8,900,000 Won ($ 8,900.00) I’ll take 2. I wonder what the airlines would charge if they had seats like this. It would be worth it.
Secondly, Danielle was right about the casino. It was such a quick visit, and very small. We had to check all of our belongings at the front desk (even the girl’s purses). I don’t think they had them put away before we went to retrieve them. Nevertheless, it was good to see.
