Day 7 Thursday October 8, 2009 I awoke around 8:00 this morning and was excited to catch Talia on line so that we could at least chat through gmail since my skype is having some issues. Singapore We arrived in Singapore late and made our way to Mt Emily guest house. The first night all 5 of us crammed into one small room, it was fun! We enjoyed shopping down Orchard Road and I was so stocked to find all the London shops that I love. Mum and Dad introduced us to Moss Burger a place that does yummy variations of burgers including a salad burger and a rice burger. Day 6 Wednesday October 7, 2009 After a good nights sleep I awoke and ordered coffee and French toast with a side of watermelon. I guess they had to go to France to get the bread because it cost $42 or about $30 US. Singapore is not for the faint of heart. I got myself ready for a big day. Day 5 Tuesday October 6, 2009 I slept in this morning and decided to once again have room service for breakfast although I just had coffee and toast. I spent the morning catching up on emails and facebook. Day Four Monday October 5, 2009 Rich awoke early to get ready for his meeting and I decided to sleep in. I awoke around 8:30am and planned my day. I decided I would venture to the upscale shopping area that we had seen so many times during our travels. Since I would be eating alone I elected to order room service. I decided to order an American breakfast but actually found it too heavy and left most of it on the plate. It is very interesting to see how the Singaporeans eat breakfast. So then…stage 2 done…Oceana…tick, well 2 of your countries anyway. Things are getting scary as I am now entering the final phase of my trip, well gallivanting hobo style around the world anyway…! Day Three October 4, 2009 We awoke at 7:30am which is very early for us especially on a Sunday. Of course the first thing I thought about was that one of our kids may be trying to reach us via skype so we turned on our computer and sure enough hooked up with Jared and Laura who are celebrating their one year anniversary in Puerto Rico. We had a great conversation with them, skype is amazing if any of you are looking for a free way to communicate over the Internet with voice and picture.
