Arrived at Singapore at 6:45am.
Transfer to York hotel in another mini bus, this time not alone. Amazed by how neat, tidy and clean Singapore was. Got to hotel 4 hours before check in time, but they checked us in straight away. After the rudeness of many Europeans in the service industry, we were stunned by how friendly and helpful the people of Singapore were. Hotel was very very nice. By far the nicest one we'd stayed in but not the most expensive. We were also (well, Thea was) stunned by the humidity and heat. After coming from a European Winter, it was almost unbearable. Didn't help that I forgot to pack summer clothes for Singapore.
