So woke up straight on a bus to the airport booked ina a flight with Cathay airlines to Singapore leaving in an hour and a half. Got through immigration changed money and all that jazz before boarding my plane to Singapore. By the time I landed at half 7 it was dark in Singapore and didnt leave the airport for another hour picking up my bags, customs and that. Boarded the underground (MRT) to a place I read in the guidebook little india so finally got off the MRT after an hour pitch black in a brand new country liikng for this one road in little india and literally off the MRT was full of indians, no taxis pulling up so asked in the seven 11 directed me down a couple of roads turned the corner to the street of hostels, only will and coooper havig some bevvies! Couldnt believe it after trying to book into a couple of dorms that were all fully booked payed a little extra and stayed in a hotel down the road. Went back to meet the boys had a couple of tigers met another guy mike from london stayed up til about half 2 before
hitting the hay.
Second day in Singapore met will, coops and mike went for a bit of sightseeing. Stopped of first in rallfes hotel to have a Singapore Sling the home of Singapore most famous cocktail. Was a bit of a head fuck though as singapore is so clean and tidy everywhere yet went into Raffles a five star $6,000 dollar a night hotel and they had peanuts on every table in the bar. In is customery when finished with the nut shells just to throw them on the floor so their we were in the fancied swnkiest hotel in the cleanest city i'd ever been in chucking nuts all over the place! From here we saw some sites down on the habour such as the Merlion the Symbol and Singapore. Also the porcupine (as I called it) theatre. We had a little look roung the indoor market before heading back as will and coop had to freshen up before their flight to oz. Me and mike conttinued in the same vein from the previous night and started in the cheapest beer we could find dutch breda (awful). Met a couple of canadians and a girl from Hull over
a couple of cans outside the hostel as the breda flowed me, mike and becky decided to go to ministry down at clarkes quay. So after a mad rush doen there got to ministry which was the best club ive been to to date. It had three floors all combined by esculators, the main dance room was surrounded by tables with a large circular dancefloor and a raised moving platfoor infrom of the dj bit had to get the co-ordination after a couple of beers. The lower floor was in the style of a wrestinling ring with the dancefloor surrounded by a wire cage playing hip hop and the upper floor in a disco style with illuminous floors and egg chairs. Had a blast in their meeting some ace locals and a couple of travellers from Germany and Holland.
After the heavy nite I didnt move til around 1 had to sort out my tickets for Malaysia so that took two hours got back from that and had a power nap. Woke up had a couple of beers with mike before heading down to Chinatown. We had some munch doen here and a nose round. They were having a
celebration for the turnung on of the lights which involed drummers and chinese dragons and lighting up Chinatown which was cool, nosed round a temple. Headed round clarkes key to have a nose easily the swankiest place ive seen the bars clubs and eateries were first class. Insted of drinking here though we headed back to the hostel for a couple of bredas. Met an ozzie girl asha and the canadians for a couple of drinks mike and the canadians were leaving for KL in the morning so hit the sack.
Woke this morning got abit of food headed down to the habourside to see what was down their (sweet fa apart from a tram to sentosa and I cudnt be arsed going their for the day) then down to orchard road which is Singapres retail mecca after that headed down to the botanical gardens to chill out. Dozed off on a bench their I was so relaxed got bakc to the hostel aobut half hour ago giving you all an update of whats going on with thomas and got to prep my bag for an half 8 bus to Mersing the Pulau Tiomen island where the scuba is
supposed to be class. Till next time hope alls good in the hood and will write back soon.
Peace and Love
