Last stop Singapore :o( the 18 hour bus ride from Krabi to Singapre was a strange one. I watched Arnold schwarzenegger in Commando dubbed in Thai, i was treated quite badly by the Thai and Malysian passengers as i was the only white person (or 'Farang') on the bus i assumed they did'nt like backpackers travelling on their transport, and was ushered to an empty part of the bus and given cold stares quite regularly!! i frequently heard many of them shouting Farang, pointing and laughing out loud, a new experience for me!. Could'nt decide if they were racist or they just did'nt like backpackers??? well i was too tired to care so i just smiled and caught up with some much needed day dreaming and window staring.
Singapore is a huge clean modern city a nice change to the spawling seemingly disorganised metropolis of Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, you can get fined here for spitting chewing gum on the streets!!.
I have spent the whole day walking around Singapores attractions, the waterfront near where the MerLion is situated is pretty cool and very remeniscent to HongKong's harbour front.
I decided to make my way to the airport early as i was sweating like crazy walking around the city with all my luggage, besides it is the best airport in the world so i spent about 10 hours there enjoying the free internet & movies, abit of people watching and some time trying to get my head around being back in the uk for the first time in 2 and a half years!.
Part of me is looking forward to going back but another part is feeling abit sad at it all being over and the dreaded thought of work looming closer, no more wondering the globe with my backpack, back to the ratrace.
