We were up at 7:40am to meet at 8:45am today to head out to the MegaZip at Sentosa Island.
We walked down to Dhoby Ghaut Station, jumped on the purple line to Harbour Front Station where we had some McDonalds for breakfast then changed trains to the Sentosa Express. We got off on the island, got lost and then found our way finally to the Adventure Park.
We started with getting our harness fitted then walked up the hill toward the ropes course. Well, it was all smiles until I started. I did two sections shaking like crazy before I got to the 2nd pit stop and could barely make myself go any further, only problem was there was no way down. Once you start, you have to finish. I probably took about 4 times longer then I should have but I did eventually finish, after some confidence building cheering from friends, staff and strangers. Worst vertigo ever!
Moving on. After sitting on the floor of the 3rd level for a while, gathering myself, it was time for the MegaZip. All three of us got hooked on and it was time
to fly from the top of the hill down to the beach. Surprisingly, this I didn't have an issue with at all. It was fun, fast and lovely. I won the race to the bottom.
Then we walked back across the bridge over the water to the beach, returned our harness and jumped on the beach tram to the train station. Said "cya" to Gareth as he was staying around. Bec and I grabbed some ice cream for lunch and we jumped on the normal train back to City Hall Station.
We stopped at Subway so Bec could have a real lunch then went back to the hotel for a quick rinse off. I met Dani in the lobby at 2:30pm so we could go to Raffles Hotel and do High Tea.
High tea was amazing. A tea stand of sandwiches and sweets and a buffet of various other things like dumplings and scones and fruit.
We stuffed ourselves before I headed back to the hotel to meet Bec n Gareth to sit by the pool for a bit and organise our next plan of attack.
Then it was time for showers and a spruce up to head to Marina
Bay.
We jumped on the train and got out at the Marina Bay stop. We headed up to the Esplanade and sat along there waiting for the 8:00pm light show. It was pretty spectacular with laser lights coming from the top of The Marina Bay Resort and fountains going up with flames and lights everywhere. Amazing.
After this with walked around to Marina Bay Shops. Bec was happy, she found the Manchester United shop, I was excited, I found Victoria's Secret store.
Then we walked around a little longer past Prada, Chanel, Louis Vuitton, etc before deciding on a place called SouthCoast for dinner. We were situated along the bay with Louis Vuitton on one side and Prada on the other. I ordered a 5-0 pizza (Hawaiian) and a cocktail called 'Aloha Lah' as I wanted to keep the USA theme going. Both the pizza and cocktail were divine. Divine.
Whilst we were eating the 9:30pm light show started so we got to see it from a different angle. Fantastic.
Then we thought we would try and go up to the skydeck just quickly but it was closed so decided to walk all the way back to the hotel. All
up we did about 25kms walking for the day, we were knackered.
