Arrive in Singapore at 6pm and jump on the sky train to Little India. Arrive a little tired, unsure of where I am in Little India on a Sunday...market day! Crazy ammount of people EVERYWHERE! Cars stationary on the street, people swarming about the place, no space to walk, no space to think! Bag's weighing me down as I'm unsure of what direction to head in so i hollar a taxi and jump in. Mr taxi man takes me to the Hive where I check in, change my clothes, tie back my humidity frizzy hair and head back to out to meet Ash from airport for 9:40pm. I get there just in time to be told that there is no flight from london at that time and the flight number ash gave me is from the arab of emrites?! hmm confused, really tired and kinda beaten by the day i head back again for the 3rd time on that damn train! back at the hostel i email
ash, leave the key under a rock and hit the sack!

Up at 4am, Ash comes crashing through the door. After catching up on his crazy flight delayed day we finally fall asleep and then wake up for our free breakfast at 10am. A day of rain doesn't hold us back from checking out singapore. Soaked right through, talking non stop we check out all f the 'historical' sites of singapore by day in the rain. Soaked right through we try and stay happy.

After a massive lay in and a day of catching up with washing we head down to Botanical Gardens. Ash feels pretty rough, hugely lacking sleep so we take it easy today. We wonder through singapore at night, we eat well and we drift through the metropolitian city amist the rush of working society.

Up at 7am, we make a dash for the post office before a barefoot run to catch the bus to the zoo in the rain! Performing elephants, feeding time at the zoo, hords of tourists, children and cheesy entertainment and more rain we wonder around the zoo. Orangutans are gorgeous though and have a beautiful habitiat that they live in so glad we came and saw them. We head back around 2ish grab our things and catch the bus to Melaka (5hours north). Singapore...done! After a snooze on the bus our spirits lift as the rain eases off and we arrive in Melaka. We grab a taxi to our beautiful little hostel Number Twenty in Melaka. Brand new, cheap as chips we get a stunning double bed to ourselves with air con and the friendliest reception. Within a few seconds of arriving Ash leaves his wallet in the taxi (putz!) and luckily the owner rings a taxi friend who finds the cabi, gets the wallet and safely returns it to us all money in tack! Legends! Its good to see there are still good people in this world!
