I write this entry in Bangkok for I have been too short in Singapore to find a computer.
Due to the fact that I became this day, June 12th , grandfather again I ll go home a bit earlier than planned. It s a grandson and like the father, my youngest son not so serious in planning for he entered this world about 5 weeks too early. Probably wondering how it is around here.
So I had to change my schedule. Went to Butterworth station at 5.30 in the morning to change my train tickets what took about 45 minutes. It s all possible in Malaysia but not done probably very often for the guy at the shelter had to call his boss who was still sleeping how he had to do this in their computer system. He had to change dates and distances. Took my old tickets, gave back the money, made a new ticket and asked the same amount back from me.
I skipped Kuala Lumpur and my stay in Singapore The final destination was about two hours. The 52 days to reach with starting point Faro, Singapore by train went very fast.
Right after arrival in Singapore I took a taxi to the airport where I was able to book for the same evening a delayed Air Asia flight to Bangkok . On my way to Singapore I had arranged already the China Airlines flight for June 14th instead of June 18th. I don t want to see my telephone bill this month. Anyhow nowadays there are on most of the flights free seats enough.
The guy checking my passport and giving a stamp said thats a short stay only 1 day. I told him no not one day , only two hours, but anyhow Singapore is not that big.
