SABANG, PUERTO PRINCESA

If we could have permit from Puerto Princesa we could have sailed Underground River more than four kilometers. But we visited about 2 km of the river by the permits from Sabang. It is discovered by a Russian in 1887 and announced as world herritage by Unesco ın 1999. It is an impressive geographical formation that we have not seen any like .

We came from Port Barton to Sabang by a shared ( Poland couple) boat in three hours. We walked to the boat terminal for Underground River paying PHP 200 per pax for permit . We paid another 700 PHP for the boats to the Underground River and the boat in the river.

After quick visit of the village we shared a jeepney to Puerto Princesa- 2 hours. We spent three nights at the capital of Palawan Island. Nothing very interesting, except pearls.

The most impotant event is Kalui restaurant where we enjoyed two dinners with sea food-excellent.

In few hours we will be flying to Manila , thereafter to Puerto Galera of Mindoro Island.
