Map Notes:

From Boac on Marinduque we caught the ferry back to Lucena and then jumped on a bus to Manila and asked to be dropped off somewhere convenient to catch the bus to Batangas. The driver dropped us at Santa Tomas and we stayed there in a short time roadside hotel which was actually pretty good. Up early at 6am next morning we caught the bus to Batangas. Unfortunately we arrived at Batangas Port early on a Saturday morning along with hundreds of people weekending from Manila! Was total chaos in the Port Depature area. Every time a boat departing was announced on the tanoy 200 people rushed the only door available and nobody got anywhere! Had to literally fight our way to the front and force ourselves through the door! By the time we had managed that our boat had left! but we just jumped on another one and insisted we be let on! Stayed in Purto Galera Town at very nice small pension house the Bahay Filipino. Have stayed at Sabang before and wanted to try different area. Mulle Port near PG Town was very nice to just stroll around and very peaceful (unlike Sabang) Rented a crap motorbike with an engine so noisy we thought it was going to explode any second! and rode out to Tamaraw Falls and the beaches to the North. Best beach was Aninuan Beach, very nice white sand beach with no poeple there. Talipanan was also nice but just a little too quiet. Big disappointment was White Beach, must have been beautiful 10 years ago but now its hemmed in with big resorts and when we visited the beach was covered in garbage! only one end remains quiet and peaceful.
