Good Morning! O well for you it's actually Good Afternoon! It's about 5:45am Monday here - so 3:45pm Sunday for you. I slept in Moms room last night and we both kept waking up all night. I guess we haven't evaded jet lag. :)
So yesterday after we went to Church we went to go see Lolo. His ashes are actually just behind the church. It's a beautiful memorial for him. There is this veranda type thing that has several peoples ashes almost entombed there - I don't know if that makes sense. It's hard to explain. He was actually buried far from here and I didn't get the full story from Mom (which I plan on doing later) but I think he was cremated years after he was buried and then moved. The church that his ashes are at is a beautiful church - the Santa Nino is next week so there are festivals and parties everywhere (Santa Nino - celebration of the birth of Baby Jesus). In Cebu they have a huge festival there with a parade and a whole week long festival. They have mass at a church close to where the celebrations are and mass is held every hour on the hour the week leading up to the Santa Nino - and every hour you can barely even get in - the church is comparable to the Congress Theater - and every mass they are pouring out of the church.
So yesterday after visiting Lolo we went to Rockwell (where Jona and Alma had their reception) and did a bunch of shopping. They have this store that is all Manila shirts (but not cheesy). I spent about 5,000 there. hehe. That's just about $100. They have a ton of cute stores in this mall. I got a new sun dress and a tunic top for about 750 ($14). Sales galore here. We also ate at Kaya a korean restaurant - I had bulgogi. It was so good. I also had this over chicken dish - I forgot what it is called but it was sooo good! BTW - I am eating non-stop here. Ugh! Everything in sight. I miss this food tho! We had Chicken adobo for dinner last night. YUM. Anyway, after Rockwell we went to the Mall of Asia. OMG. It was nuts there. It's like the Mall of America (I haven't been there but it's the same ownership group I believe). I asked Ann why they decided to put it in Manila - and we deduced it was probably due to space and cost. It was probably much cheaper to build it here in Manila. They have almost everything that we have over in the states except its cheaper out here (i.e. Forever 21). I told Ann that I didn't want to shop at stores we have in the States. Whats the point if I can get it over there? hehe. We were really tired when we got home so we just had dinner and then rested (which is probably why I am up so early).
Today Uncle Max is picking us up and Mom and I will go stay with him and Tita Dani (Max is my dad's brother). Melissa is there so it will be good to see here and Mark. Ann went back to Bankok yesterday so didn't have a chance to see her and her baby. We will get picked up in the afternoon around 2p so until then I will probably just arrange my stuff (it's scattered all over Louie's Room). My french manicure chipped so I may walk over to the parlor and have my nails redone (150 pisos - which is just over $3. haha!).
I will blog with you all soon - all this typing is messin up my nails! hehe.
xoxo

P.S. I am pretty sure I got pick pocketed a couple days ago when Millie and I went to the market before going to Tita Milas for dinner. I can't believe how bad it is over here. When we were at rockwell (a really nice/upscale mall) a woman went up to the counter when we were checking out and said she saw 3 girls corner some lady and one of them had her hand in her purse. Later we met all the parents downstairs and they were having dessert at a restaurant and a lady in the restaurant had her purse stolen. So I have learned now how to hold my purse and am very weary if someone bumps into me. Luckily, it was just money that I lost - it was a pretty big chunk of change and in US dollars. I learned my lesson the hard way. But at least it wasn't any of my credit cards, debit card, etc. I am here with my family and still enjoying myself to the fullest - def. not going to let this ruin it.
P.P.S. Okay I think I have my cell working now - I talked to Nancy yesterday and think I have the texting thing down. But i still don't know my number. I also left my cell phone at home on accident so I so I don't have any phone numbers.
P.P.P.S. Pictures are on the way!
