Last summer I went to Iloilo City with my Auntie to visit her home town. It's my second time to board a ship. The first one was when I was still a baby. My mother told me that the ship that we are in got stuck in the middle of the sea because of engine failure. They were scared but the sailing went smooth.
I smiled when I saw the huge ship that will bring us to Iloilo City. It's amazing and beautiful. The name of the ship is MV St. Peter the Apostle owned by Negros Navigation, and is now a member of 2Go Travel owned by Superferry.
The ship is complete with facilities that will sooth everyone on board. Every room had a television, shower room, dining facilities, charging station, and a safety vault located on the customer service desk for important valuables.
But during the trip my expectation was not met because it's forbidden to go on the front deck of the ship, mainly because other people use it to end their lives. I just went on the end deck of the ship to see the great view of the vast sea.
It took
us more than 24 hours journey to reach the heart of the Philippine Archipelago. Eventhough it's too long, all in all I enjoyed the experience. It's worth it.
