The train from Zahedan (Iran) to Quetta (Pakistan)

Wow ... we are finally in Pakistan.
The train was supposed to leave from Zahedan at the 17th in the morning and arrive in Quetta the day after in the afternoon. Well, The train cae first late in the evening. There were just the drivers and a postman in the train. We were the only passengers. The day after we arrived the border to Pakistan. We had to get out of the train and walked to the passport control. Afterwards we wanted to walk back to the train but they didn't want to let us. Lots of people even told us that there is no train and that we should take the bus. We had to wait on the pakistanian side for I think 5 hours until the train picked us up. The we continued our travel to Quetta. In Taftan we even got our own security guard. This is quite normal when you travel in Pakistan. They will always send police escort with you. We drove along the desert ... a lot of dust, some. villages, sometimes some camels ... it was so hot and no cold water to drink. We arrived after about 50 hours in Quetta. We got out of the train at 1 o'clock in the night. Unfortunatly our contact was not in town so we had to take a Tuk-tuk to the next hotel. And there we met three people who we already met in iran. Tow of them in Esfahanand one woman we met in Yazd. The world seems to be very small sometimes. They also get all the time police escort when they move to the next station, they told us. We are going to Lahore tomorrow because we have to stay at a hotel here and in Lahore we have some contacts who will host us.
Pakistan is a complete different world if you compare it to Iran. The police man in the train told me a lot about the freedom of women in Pakistan. He gave me exactly the same picture that everybody in western countries have about Pakistan. You don't see many women on the streets. Here in Quetta are some. But the villages we passed by ... I first thought that there are no girls or women living but they were in their houses .. all of them. In Iran you see the families together. The police man toldmealso lots of other stories but I will find out by myself.
Here are also many people who are begging ... this is also a big difference compared to Iran. I didn't see so many beggers in Iran.
We have been here for just 1 day but my eyes are almost falling out :)
I know that we have to be careful. Already in the morning I heard about bombings and killings of the last few days. I will get an English newspaper ...
