After having some problems with my flight Biman Bangladesh Air that supposed to fly me to Dhaka'n'Kathmandu and suddenly they cancelled my flight (this airline is quite unreliable in terms of schedule; they can change schedule as they wish, and in my case, they just decided to stop the route from Bangkok-Dhaka-Kathmandu while actually I have already paid for the ticket and they didn't even bother to transfer me to other airline). I was stranded in d'airport without knowing what to do. The airline blame d'travel agent for selling the ticket, and the travel agent blame d'airline for cancelling the flight. So none of the airline and travel agent want to take responsibility on this. I was so frustated, since I did'nt want to stay any extra nights in Bkk just because of this problem.
I even tried to report this case to tourist police @ d'airport, and they didnt seem understand on how to solve it. The Biman Air Floor Manager didn't even want to meet me and yell on me, and didn't want to take responsibility. He insisted me to complain to d'travel agent while d'travel agency asked me to complain to d'airline.
Finally, I decided to
fly with other airline (Royal Nepal)... and I happened to meet a gentleman from Royal Nepal office bangkok that quickly made a call to everybody to get my ticket done (while actually the airline already closed the check in process). Thanks to him, they issued my ticket so quick and opened the check in counter again just for me... so I found my self running to the immigration and boarding gate. I didn't know how to thank this gentleman for his help that made it possible for me to fly to Kathmandu today. My tears of frustation was still visible on my face because of this irresponsible Biman Bangladesh Air.
Anyway,,, I really enjoyed flying with Royal Nepal, the inflight meal was good... and the pilot plus the staff with their nepali hospitality is really something that make me forgot I was almost stuck in Bangkok for few more days because of irresponsible Biman Bangladesh Air and bangkok travel agent. Thanks to Royal Nepal, I was on schedule with my itenerary...
Arriving again in Kathmandu in d'afternoon, I had 1 day to work on my flight to Lukla to start the trek, also work on my Tibetan visa
and trekking permit. So d'next day, I was busy with that... and thanks God,,, I flew to Lukla on schedule... The tibetan travel agent Tashi Dele help me with my trekking permit... and from Thamel I could easily book my ticket to Lukla by Yeti Airline. So far so good... all I need to do after was to get back to my hotel and repack my backpack to get rid of some of my summer clothes that won't be needed in d'mountain. (I even had time early in d'morning to go to Durbar Square and had some fun there... see my morning fun times in Kathmandu!)
So here I was again,,, the so familiar Thamel in Kathmandu... <read; honking bikes'n'car, smelling incent, in durbar square feeding pigeons, n of course... my momo's time!>
