We left the hotel at 6:40am on the 2nd may and the train left Beijing station at 7:40, we reached the china border at 10:40pm where our passports were taken from us and we stopped on the train to go down to the work sheds and watch the bogies beingh changed then we were taken back to the border for the return of our passports. We then had 20 mins travel in no mans land until the Mongolia border where the passports were taken from us again then returned later , they stamp the visa not the passport page. We left the Mongolia border at 1:40 am and crossed the Gobi desert where the compartment became very dusty. We finally reached Ulaan Blater at 1:20pm and were met and driven to the currency exchange for our tourigs the went to the san hotel. Following check in we had a introduction tour of the capital then we went to a folk show before going for dinner.
