Beaches, Hills and Monsoons

Our first stop in Malaysia was Tioman Island, we were eager to do some more diving and some more sunning!!!
We loved Tioman and had a special encounter with a pack of wild monkeys on you guessed it Monkey Bay!!
We did some good dives on some wrecks that had been specially sunk by the marine park to help encorage the growth of coral, it was really magical!!
After Tioman we made or way further up the coast to the Perhenthian Islands, due to Hari Rayer the Muslim festival everything was shut and all the coach services were booked solid so we had to take public transport and lots of it, we got to the island eventally on a lovely calm evening the next few days would be a different story, bacause thats when the monsoons came and it rainerd for 3 days and nights solid. We recon we got the last dive of that year. We took a very bummpy ride back to main land, then had another think, we were going to head to the west coast because we had been told the weather would be better, it was still raining when we arrived in Kular Lumpar early in the morning but it was slightly warmer. Our next destination was Melacca south of KL a beautiful old town, we spent a few days here soaking up the sights and sounds and eating some great food and Abbey at last got a hair cut, her last one being in Argentina!!
Next to KL the capital, and it maginitude of shops and malls, we have been a bit out of touch with the latest film relises so decied to go to the cinema, we saw a film title 1408 with John Cusack, Samuel L. Jackson. Not knowing anything about it we tought it was a history flick. We both spent the whole film wanting to leave, we hadn't read it was a Steve King story, only see this film if you are not having to spend everynight in Hotel rooms!!
So after that we made our way to the Cameron Highland, a very pleasant town in the hills visited some tea plantations.
George Town was our last stop a beatiful old city on a Island, full of culture.
We both really loved Malaysia.
