To the bat(u) cave robin!!!!!!

well hello there people!! as you may be aware i left a week agao but in true adam style i havent got round to doin the blog yet as i am lazy and have been drunk for most of the past week!............ ahaa only joking, i have not been able to get to a comp with internet till now so here it is. at this present moment i am sitting in our hostel in KK (Kota Kinabalu) we have only been here for about an hour so consider yourselves very special that i chose to do this first! we have had the most amazing week, actually i would consider it the best week i have experienced most prob ever. i am going to do kuala lumpur (KL) first then i will post our jungle escapades in a coupla days, and then near the end of this week i will send our KK blog. so what can i say, it was really hard saying goodbye to you all but i am pleased that i didnt let my guard down a blubber like a baby (actually i cant say that i didnt as i dont remember most of friday night due to the massive amounts of booze that was handed to me by my lovely and very naughty work pals, but yeah it was hard to leave you all but i am so glad that i did because its anabled me to spread my wings. so what can i say about Kuala Lumpur? i could say its lame but that would be lying becuase its ace!! we ended our long flight on monday 14.30 and walked into this super clean airport. (mum you would be impressed you could eat your dinner off the floor i am telling you!!) we walked out of the departures into the blazing hot malaysian sun and it hit me like a brick wall!! anyways into the taxi we got and took a 40 min drive into the centre of KK. bags were put in our rooms and we explored!! well actualy we drank lots but it was a cool night. the malay people love a party (and very friendly) and we chose to go down the main bar area near the twin towers. day 2>>>>next morning hungover, we bascially sat by the pool for most of the day which was nice. in the afternoon evening we toddled off to china town which was full of markets selling everything u could think of then we had a meal in one of the local chinese cafes. the food was wonderful and very cheap but it was stupidly hot so we ended the day back at the pool and chilled. day 3>>> today was dedicated to tourism of the highest degree! firstly we went up the petronas towers. these mothers are the highest twin towers in the world and i think the 3rd highest single towers in the world. very high they were too! then after that we went to the bat cave!!! sorry its actually called the batu caves but being me i couldnt resist it!! this is an actual hindu temple which has about 300 steps leading up to it. very cool and there were monkeys everywhere lokking us up and down!! we finally got to the top and we walked into this amazing cave with mad hindu statues and stuff. now me being non religeous i cant say i felt enlightened but i will say i felt peaceful so thats gotta be a good thang! next up was back to the hotel for more of the pool then back into town for the KL Tower. this tower is i think the 5th hightest tower in the world so another high one for us. it was cool going up but as the weather is hazy here at the moment we didnt get the best views. still cool all the same tho. lastly it was back to the rum jungle bar for more drinks and another brilliant band. not i must say. we merseysider pride ourselves on muscial talent. you aint seen nothing i am telling you!! these band in KL were so good its unreal, far play it was covers but to a professional standard. really good its was and so was the beer!! anyways off to bed then up early for day 4! the next day we were up at 6 to get a taxi back to the airport for our trip to the jungle!! to be fair i was gutted i had to leave as i have enjoyed it so much! the people are absolutely wonderful here and so friendly. its such a mix of religions and cultures here and everyone lives together without any bother. its refreshing looking at the state of the world at the moment. so thats it my first blog complete. to sum up i had a wonderful time here in KL and really want to go back so if any of you feel like comin to say hello in oz (you know who you all are) i would recommend it big style.
