The parting of the ways came for Al and me this morning, I panicked as usual when my booked coach was half an hour late to pick me up. As it turned out we spend in under 40 mins to the airport and i had time to spare!! I have arrived in KL , the landscape looks very different from HK and mainland China . We are much nearer the equator , its monsoon period so the sky was grey and light rain splattered down but its 86 degrees so very deceptive. the vegetation is very luch lots of palms before we got to the city proper. Al flies home tonight and should ber back in our bed by 5am Thursday morn!!
I am in our room waiting for Miss Loman Field to arrive from Cambo in about 2 hours. We then need to decide what we do for the next 7 days. We are booked into a jungle trip in Sabbah next week lots of yummy muddy forests and flying bite things!!!! I think we plan to go up to the Cameroon heights the old tea plantations and on to malacca and penang- watch this space. We are also
hoping to meet up with Les who decided he wants to do some good in cambo so he,s staring in Malaysia !!! As Ricardo says perhaps he will jump off something high , we have the twin towers here!
Just some final pictures of our last few days in HK , we didn't do too much just ate and drank , and wondered around a bit , we didn't go to HK Disney nor did we see the biggest sitting Buddha in the world neither did we go on the cable cars- what a bummer will do that in OZ!. However have to say that we took Anna's advice and went to a cocktail bar on the 29th floor of a skyscraper overlooking the harbour and watched the magnificent Lazar show. the views were quite spectacular but i couldnt bring myself to go near the windows, the bar was like a glass bubble and i felt mildy sick and dizzy - pathetic I know. I am afraid neither Al's nor my camera was up to taking night time pictures so none here. We finished Sunday with a meal in the peninsular hotel - THE place to go and be
seen in HK!! very posh but sedate, we all spoke in whispers!!!
So just a few more pickies of HK its harbour from a short cruise we did and thankyou all again for your messages and comments it really is great to receive them.
