didnt realise that 3 days have passed since i last wrote! got the night train from singapore then got an early night last night to recover from all the sleep i havnt had since. . . . well since i left basically. been out and about today seein what K.L has to offer which to be honest isnt much. went to the petronas towers which are apparently the highest twin towers in the world?, saw a massive market selling mainly imported crafts from china and borneo which was quite cool but everything was still pretty expensive in realtion to asian prices.. . . . check the photo of the rams skull thats been carved with native american art work ( soon come no time to upload pics now). saw some mosques as malaysia seems to have an Islamic majority and also the independance square where the union jack was burned 50 years ago when they declared independance. alcohol is well expensive here. a rum and coke cost 2 pound in the cheapest place in town (which strangely is a reggae bar, its the only one in K.L i might add which even more strangely was covered with pictures of bob marley and hidden amongst them a pic of................................. THE QUEEN ????????LOL didnt even wanna ask!) the prices i understand are due to the islamic majority meaning that drinking is not encouraged and also not brewed so all drinks are imported.
on the positive side K.L is very culturally diverse with a great deal of indians and also chinese living here so the food is pretty interesting( theres some great fusion food.
My hostel was also next to the biggest Mall in Malaysia so i got some new trainers from there (Converse 8pound rather than 50 in uk). its that big that it contains an indoor theme park complete with roller coaster (not even a little one its got loops and everything) and a bowling alley.
i have some other pictures of the towers and some other bits that i'll post soon .......ol and a video of the crazilly heavy rain we had last night. (you can hear it more than see it as it was dark, hence why i took a video) you'll see from the pics that its been pretty cloudy so far but still very hot and extremely humid.
gonna go and see some caves tommorrow i forget the name of them now Bhantu Caves i think....... and find out about thai visa (must remember to do that!)
then in a day or two me and Karen a german girl i met in Singapore are headin to the jungle to do a bit of trekkin and a boat trip. theres an amazin canopy walk way that you can walk along through the tree tops so expect some wicked pics from that.
after that my plan is to go island hoppin along the east coast until i reach Thailand, there is supposed to be some beautiful scenery on the islands and a great place to chill and take it easy for a while.
thanks for the messages every1 keep em comin. i'll try to write again 2mora b4 i go to the jungle as they might not have internet there as its pretty remote and i'll post my pics then.
Speak soon Much Love!
