Kuala Lumpur
Some more high-rise
Its midnight in about one minute and its gonna be my 29th birthday. A special one, a weird one. Strange to sit alone in front of a pc when the moment comes, especially if alone means in a rather dirty little hotel in China Town, Kuala Lumpur.
What happened that it came to this point? Well, whatever happend, it happened very fast so nothing of this was planned.
It all started when a couple of months ago I planned to meet my big love THH in Kuala Lumpur, since she is studying in Hong Kong and we dont have too much time together lately. I knew the Chinese working rythm was rather busy but eventually she managed to get 3/4 days off and KL was the perfect middle way for us to meet.
A couple of days ago I left Vietnam to come here and I had already gotten the message that THH would be late for one day due to a late call she got for some meetings with other teachers.. Allright, one day alone in KL waiting cant harm anybody.
Yesterday I went to the bus terminal in order to pick her up from the

airport, only that I understood that she was arriving at 2 pm while the real arrival time was 2 am! My phone here is not working so I was waiting for 2 hours without any notice, until I decided to check on the internet and found out I actually had to come at 2 am...
Allright, I went back to the hotel, at 2 am I took a taxi for the busterminal... second round. Again, I did not check my internet but when nobody arrived I saw the message... THH was not allowed to board the plane in Hong Kong because her passport was 3 months before expiry date only, which is not enough for the Malay Visa.... Tragedy!!
So what to do? Luckily I met another Italian guy here and we toured the city a little bit today... What I already know of KL is confirmed again. The city is pretty much a mix of old and new, Malay, Chinese and Indian.. And the Petronas towers are still amazing.
Tomorrow I will head north to Georgetown with my new found travel mate.. On my birthday. My phone is not working either so not much of messages...

I just got one from THH online by the way! Happy for that! Its my birthday by now.
Life is good and I will try to enjoy the best I can and see some of Malaysia.. even in this unfortunate conditions and in a dorm instead of a double room.
Take care people.
