Pip and i headed by bus(6hours) over to eastern Sabah to Sandakan.
The city was not our favourite place but the wildlife was amazing, Orang-utan, elephants, monkeys and big bugs.....see below for the evidence.....

These animals have full access to whats left of Borneo jungle, the more tame orang's come fwd for feeding at 10 am and 3 pm daily. And as you can see they are stunning creatures.

This is G he is 25 years old and as big as his feeder, these animals were not shy as you can see in the next few shots...

As i said not shy, these 'monyet' competed with the Orang's for food and the Orang's played with them and teased them.

We depated the Orangs for a jungle camp up river. the rain had flooded everthing so we were up to our knees in water.

But the sunset was worth it

but we havemany friends, you were never alone out here, the sound of the jungle was deafening!

the elephant...this is a very rare sight...oil palms have cut the jungle right back so all the animals around the river...we were so lucky to see him.

The monyet arrivied every morning to steel our breakfast, favourite was condensed milk.

the camp staff and travellers.. the staff were all locals, great guys, we did very well with our Malay..
