This town has sea, beaches, islands, jungle, mountains and a national park. I hang around one day.
Wake up naturally a little after eight. Update blog and feast on peanut butter & jam on toast. Read a little and try to figure out my route to Bali. Netta talks me into travelling with her a few more days, I agree to catch a bus with her tonight and we'll take it from there.

I found a map of ferry routes around Indonesia so I have a rough idea for where to head next. I can't find any road maps for Indonesia so it might be the land part that's harder to figure out.

Head out into the town for a wander. Find a market selling tourist tat and head back to tell Netta about it. She buys a necklace and we stop for lunch.

The GH owner wants to help us find Sipadan diving and arrange our buses for the night. We let him. We catch a bus to the bus station, then a bus to the bus terminal and then a bus across country. I introduce Netta to Christopher the cow.

The night bus is anything but a sleeper bus. There's a Malaysian karaoke video to get us on our way followed by

There are stops and the lights are on and off. About midnight there's a half-hour stop and about one an armed policeman comes on to check tickets.
