Pls. note we have finally figured out how to upload photos with aid of high speed internet cafe in Malaka. It is called Fenix Internet Cafe and owner is a great guy who was extremely helpful. See earlier entries if interested. We will enter photos for more recent entries over next several days (hopefully).

Okay, so now I believe you that Bali is quite spectacular... I was really beginning to think you were just holed up somewhere in Ottawa South. Anyway, I am greatly enjoying your blog and of course terribly envious! I recognized the Great Ocean Road photos, especially the Twelve Apostles. I'm not sure where you two will be for Christmas, but I wish you all the best. I'm sure it will be a Christmas to remember... Thinking of you lots.

Okay, so now I believe you that Bali is quite spectacular... I was really beginning to think you were just holed up somewhere in Ottawa South. Happy New Year
Hello Matthew and Helen. Happy New Year to you both and I hope things continue to go well. You know the expression ;"From our lips to God's ear."? Well, as soon as Thanksgiving was over, the stores decorated for Christmas and some fool played ....."let it snow, let it snow, let it snow..." and God took note. As of a week ago we had more snow this year than in all of last winter combined. It' snowing today and no sign of letting up. so, don't be dropping Matthew in any ravines. He planned you outta this!! Hope you continue to stay healthy and having fun. Cheers Kevan

back home update
k Marie arrived back safely in Bucharest and promptly was dumped upon with 50 cm of the white stuff. Of course, she was ecstatic! Made insane Romanian drivers even worse. We were also hit with 20 cm as she left and so everywhere is blanketed is seems. In Astana, just deadly cold -29 C with strong winds!!!! I am not going outside until July. Nik, Tom and Andrea got a kick out of your blogs. Andrea back to pborough tomorrow and Tom to Bucharest on Monday and me back to B on the 27th. keep up the news! best to yo u both

Its about time!
Its about time you figured out how to post the photo's. I was beginning to think "Hey, maybe they are really holed up at home or in a Florida retirement community or something, and are making this stuff up by reading travel brochures".
