sobodee...welcome to loas

after another flash packers flight from hanoi we arrived in loas with no idea of what was in store. i think its safe to say that loas is one of the coolest & most chilled out places in the world. sometimes when you go to a shop or resturant you would have to wake up the staff to pay them for what you want to buy, everyone in loas just flakes, drinks beer loas, smokes opium & sleeps all day everyday & you cant walk by a loas person with getting a friendly a friendly "sobadee"(hello in loas).

vientiane is the capital of loas,its really not much af a city more a town. Its a pretty poor country & a big part of why i loved loas is just the athmosphere & friendly people. the guys working in our guesthouse were the soundest lads we had met during the whole trip but all they did was lie and sleep!

Theres not much to do in vientiane other than walk around taking in the slow pace of life of the locals., there is a nice row of bamboo resturants along the river but other than this we didnt get up to much. few parties & a nightclub in a hotel and we were ready to move further north
