Arrived in Luang Prabang really tired. The two day slow boat really took it's toll. Fortunately, the town is really nice and relaxing. It's in between 2 rivers, so the views are spectacular no matter where you are. First day, just walked around soaking up the atmosphere. Climbed the hill in the middle of the town for fantastic views. On the second night, watched the World Cup finals with a bunch of Dutch supporters, who ended up being being really disappointed. Over all - had a great time. I really like the town - French colonial architecture and Buddist temples. After the game, watched the Alms ceremony - where the monks walk around at 5:30 am collecting food from the locals.
Going to the waterfalls next.
