In the morning I wake up to an amazing site of the Mekong river which separates Thailand and Laos as the sun raises up over the river in the east I realise that this is exactly why you travel.

Today I have booked a slow boat tour with Nagi of the Mekong down stream starting in Chiang Khong and ending in Luang Prabang with a stop in between in Pak Bang. The tour is a mid rang option with the backpacker boat being the budget option at I would assume to be very very cheap and the premium option being the Luang Say at approximately.
