We arrived at the bus station early morning, there then was a lot of bus changing, waiting, then onto another bus to take us to where we get a boat to the island Don Det.

We arrived in the north of the island which was pretty touristy, so we walked to the south where it was quieter and also nearer the bridge to the island opposite Don Khon. It was quite a long walk and the hottest part of the day so it took a while.

Matt went on ahead while I waited with the bags and found a nice little place right by the river called Riverside which happened to be in lonely planet. The rooms were quite basic. Each room had two hammocks so after having a drink we relaxed in them for the rest of the afternoon. Then that evening after having a little look around had dinner at the guesthouse and had an early night. There were so many bugs by any light a long the river, I've never seen so many!
