Shirakabe Dozogun is the historic, traditional part of town that is nationally recognized for its cultural value. It has a really really relaxed atmosphere, and in a way you can imagine life 40 or 50 years ago. Kurayoshi doesn't have much in "nightlife" department, but there are lots of things to do during the day. For anyone visiting Tottori-prefecture, Shirakabe Dozogun is a must see.
