New rule in Tokyo...if someone invites you to do something, go do it. This is true for the family, friends, or whoever. I hear some crazy stories about amazing moments that people stumbled into while studying abroad in Tokyo. I think I had my first one this past weekend.

I was invited by a friends to go to a christmas party for a Japan finance organization. We went and had a great time, did some networking, etc. We were the youngest there but no one seemed to care. After the christmas party ended at the restaurant we went out for a few drinks and just chilled with some people and got invited to another Christmas party the next night at one of the guys apartments. Again we went and met really interesting people, Japanese and otherwise. There was Take, the guitar player who went to Berklee school of music, a playwright, some finance people from germany, australia, france. In the end we went to a club.

More randomness...went to hello kitty land in Tokyo. It was for the birthday of foster child the family is taking care of in addition to me and whoever else walks in the door. I think the pics explain Hello Kitty pretty well. Yes, its childish, but its much a part of Japanese culture as are Temples.

I'm planning a coffee event for the fair trade circle, again, just said yes when none of the Japanese members spoke up.

I should keep this up more.
