So now we are settled in Tokyo for the next couple of months - and the kids are at school nearby our rented apartment. So we promised the kids some fun days as a reward for trying hard to cope with school.
Tokyo Disney.
So we tried to avoid it for as long as possible, but the kids had a day off school during the week because of having their school sports day on saturday (great fun and very well organised, unfortunately for the kids it was a hot day so the teachers had to keep the playground wet to cool it down) - so with the hope that we could avoid some of the crowds and not spend all day in queues, we went to Disney Sea.
The disney monorail is super, this gets you around the whole resort in a Disney styled train - the windows are Mickey shaped and even the hand holds are too, and the seats are crescent shaped so a large group can nicely sit together.
Disney Sea.
It was much more spaced out and relaxing than the main Disney, due to the large areas of water, and luckily for us reasonably quiet
(for Tokyo standards).
So we had a good day, got there at 10.30am ish and left at 8pm - so a full day, we stayed late to catch the fireworks etc at the end, which was well worth it - you'll have to take my word for it as you cannot really see much from the photos.
The rides as usual were great, the shows were excellent - the combination of water and fireworks and entertainers
was very good.
I would recommend anyone with kids to go, but give yourselves a full day, the overall size of DisneySea is the same as
Disney. With the added bonus of being able to get around by boat if the feet get tired.
The kids loved it as expected and the queues were fine, a couple of fastpasses and well thought out queuing areas with enough to keep kids looking around. The food was good (for Disney) a good selection of food and Japanese high quality means the kids and we were kept happy.
