Saturday NightMe and my roommate Misato (I finally got a pic with her!)
I just have say that we're in the middle of probably the funnest thunderstorms ever! It's right over us so there's lots of lightning and thunder. And lots of rain! It was quite a downpour. It's calmed down now. It's probably just passing through since it came in really quick.
So I've now been in Tokyo for two weeks and three weekends. It's been fun and interesting getting to know everyone. Especially everyone from TUJ House (my dorm) and Green House (around the corner). We all live near the Jiyugaoka Station. I just hope things don't start to get really tense since everyone's around each other all the time. It'll be interesting to see.
Not a whole lot has really happened. Everyone's settling in and getting used to living here. Sometimes someone will stop and just say, "Guys, we're in Tokyo". It's so surreal sometimes. Because it's not that we forget we're in Tokyo, it just doesn't always sink in.
Most of the Jiyugaoka crew went to dinner and then karaoke last night. We only did karaoke for an hour, which was a mistake. (No I didn't sing because I'm still getting over a cold). But we had fun anyways. Next
time we'll do the all night karaoke.
(To everyone who's asked about Ani, she's doing better now. We're now pretty sure it was a brown recluse, but she's okay now.)

Hi Shell- Sounds like you're having lots of fun in Tokyo like I am in Paris! You should have done karaoke although I'm sorry you have a cold... what's new?!?! That moldy croissant is on it's way, so hope you enjoy it! No, just kidding... but I'm eating lots of croissants and really enjoying them! Love you lots and miss you! Your blonde twin
Well, we finally get to see the camera shy Misato. She appears to be shy more than just in front of the camera. I don't know why, though. She is very pretty. I hope she takes good care of you (or at least tolerates your thespian personallity). The fact that she has not run off yelling and shouting Japanese obsurdities is a good sign. I didn't get to see any pictures of your Karaoke rendition. Oh, wait. I already have some of those from our New Year's celebration. You're right, it's better we leave pictures like that off line.
Love you, Mu...oops! I almost forgot where I was writing.
