I finally took the time to take some pictures, so this is just going to be a photo tour of where I live and the area around.
For all those who have asked, anything mailed to me has to go through TUJ, so make it out to:

front doorWhen you come in the first thing you do is take off your shoes and leave them at the door. Misato and I have house shoes that we slip into when we come in, but everyone else walks in barefoot or with

shoe closetThis is the closet where Misato and I keep all our shoes we're not using at the moment. The closet's right near the door.
enteringThis is what you would see if you looked up and down the hall. Usually we keep the door to the room closed. I'm not sure if this is for privacy or to keep the room cool.
shower roomTo the left when you enter is the shower room. This contains the sink, "vanity", and shower. The toilet is across the hall, but I didn't think people really needed to see a picture of the toilet. (It'

kitchenThe next room you come to is the kitchen/hallway. It's pretty small, but the only problems I've faced as far as space goes is not enough room in the fridge. But that's what neighbors are for!
stoveAnother real cause for confusion. This stove's really tricky to light. But I think I've finally figured it out. The problem was that I kept using the right burner and I think that one's broken. When I

bedroomAnd the final room is the bedrom. It's actually not as small as it seems. I think it's almost the size of the double's at UOP with les furniture.
bedsOf course the best way to save space is to have bunk beds. I like these beds because it's like having extra walls (and yes I will eventually put some stuff on them). The only thing I don't like is the

shelvesHere are our shelves. Misato gets one and I get the other. That's right, these shelves are enough to fit most of the stuff I brought. See, I can learn to pack lightly...
dressersThese are the tiny dressers we have to use. Misato has two drawers and I have two drawers. How can two girls possibly survive with such a small space for their clothes? Wait til you see the closet.
closetYes, this closet is the only reason I was able to unpack my bags. It's the most spacious cloest I've ever seen, not counting walk-ins. It could use with some extra drawers inside, but we make it work.

leavingAnd now we're leaving to go to Jiyugaoka Station (say that 3 times fast), the "downtown" area of my district. I'd take a picture of the TUJ House building, but I don't want the neighbors to look at me

Jiyugaoka StationThis is the sign to the station. This is where we come when we have to take the train, which is basically everywhere but school.

a taste of italyThis is right next to the cool tree. Unfortunately the light blocks it, but there's a gondola sitting in this lake. It's huge compared to the bridge, which makes for a very funny picture.
meguro-ku is the rich area...I'm sorry that I'm not a professional photographer, but this guy has all his cars on display through these huge glass windows. He's got four really nice cars. He's lucky he lives in Japan, or they'd b

It looks like you have a quaint and cozy little appartment there. And yet, I think you might find it roomier than your "room" at home. Thank you for sharing your accommodations. The pictures speak louder than any words. I understand now about the shower.
You didn't mention Ani in this posting. I hope she is better. I hope all of your friends can stay healthy and away from arachnic carnivores.
AWW. I just listened to Redneck Woman and totally thought of my girls... :-D. I love the pics of your room! And you definately missed excitement this weekend: the first ER trip for MEL! woo hoo. But I'm ok now. Miss you tons. Looks like you're having fun. **kisses**
So apparently I'm retarded and don't know how to leave comments. But I think I've got it now... :). I just listened to REdneckWoman and thought of my girls! :) Miss you tons. And you missed our excitement... Mel going to the ER. woo hoo. But I'm ok now. :) Miss you, kiss you. love, mel
Wow! The place looks great! I like your bunkbeds, too. Which one is yours, though: top or bottom? Anywayz, I hope Ani is okay. And where are the pictures of your roomate? Is she camera shy? *Whispers* Is she hot...? *SMACK* Ow...Anyway, I'm glad everything is working out alright. And that tree...you are sooo lucky! We don't have glowing trees that change colors in America. I envy you. Keep having fun, okay? Promise?
Your Bro, Mark
I think the railings on your bed are really handsome, but I'm a sucker for dark wood...especially dark hardwood floors. Mmmmmm... Thank you for posting pictures! They are wonderful!
