Sooo today is my first day in the apartment where I am staying with Xander in Miyazaki, after an entire day of traveling here. Spent about 4 hours on the bullet train (fastest in the world), 3 hours on the bus then a 10 minute car ride to get here from Tokyo.

Day 1

The first thing you notice when you get to japan is how hot it is... You get sweaty just from walking around Tokyo, which is why stores giveaway fans and little towels to wipe the sweat from your head to everyone to use and advertise their stores. The first day I got there it was already night and Xander and I just walked around taking in the sights. Black Nigerian guys working for titty bars stand outside on the street and try to hustle people into their bar. EVERY SINGLE ONE will go up to Xander and give him their shpeal because he looks like a big American gaigin (foreigner) looking for a good time. Making our way through all of people standing outside trying to coax us into their different stores we went to some restaurant where you order outside with a vending machine type thing. Press the button you want and get the ticket, bring it inside and they make it. Gets rid of the need of a waiter, they love vending machines in japan they are everywhere and I've seen one with beer in it. And no you can't buy girls panties from vending machines which is what I've heard before. Xander said that they did that like for one day at some random place in japan but that was it, and the rumor just spread from there. Anyway I got this deep fried pork cutlet thing that was really good, it came with rice and a raw egg, which is something they eat a lot.

Day 2

Walked around a lot and went into stores, saw a temple shrine place thing but Xander said the one by where he lives is better. Took the train everywhere, the best way to get around. Later went to dinner with some of xanders old friends from UCLA. Can't remember the name of the type of the dinner but you get like different flavors waters, then they putt it on hot plates and give you raw meats to putt in the water so it cooks and you take it out and eat it. Along with different vegetables and they gave us some slabs of mochi which i tried to eat and it was super super sticky and gross... I've had mochi in like some icecream before and it was good though, I think its just bad plain like that. You get all you can eat and all you can drink for like 2 hours. After that we all went to Karaoke which is a lot of fun, but more fun if you can understand what people are saying and if you know the song >.<

Day 3

Walked around more and went into stores. They call convenience stores con bini (con benie), convenience store shortened :P. Took the train all around everywhere and went into some Otaku stores, which is like anime and video games for all the nerds. All there stores go like five stories up instead of being super wide.

Day 4

Just went back to some old stores and got some shirts that were cool, one has a cow looking at some cooked beef all sad. The other one has a picture of whinnie the pooh with blurred out eyes and a bloody mouth that says "well i am a bear" or something like that in japanese
