Yokahama

Arrive around 3pm. The hotel was 5 mins walk from the station. We passed the tallest observatory landmark tower going to the hotel. We checked in then decided to walk around the wharf area using a route map that Tom had got from the station. Very hot day, we didn't manage to see all of the wharf, but the views of the harbour we really good. We also came across a couple having wedding photos taken on the wharf. There were various shops and other land marks. Returning to the hotel we had a quick shower and met the others for the walk to Japan's biggest China town. On the way we saw a boxing match going on inside a building and a lovely Chinese temple. The meal was suppose to be a all you eat can buffer, but turned out to be anything but. The hostess seemed a bit put out and the service and food wasn't that good apart from the sweet and sour chicken which was fantastic. The restaurant had a karioki room; I think that's mainly why Tom booked this place. We all piled in, ordered beer and Tom started us off. It's the

first time I've done karioki and quite enjoyed it as did the others. Back at the hotel we said good bye to those people leaving early to catch the train to the airport, others either had a later flight or like Amy and us had more time in Tokyo.

After breakfast ( only coffee left from what I remember) Kay and I did a bit more of the harbour area, had brunch and made our way to the station to catch the local then another train to Tokyo.
