So I finally finished my Mid-terms. It took a while to study for them, but now they're over and out of the way. The only one I've gotten back so far was my Japanese Language one and I scored a 94% on that one. Pretty happy with that grade so we'll just keep hoping the other ones turned out like that one. As for the temperature, it's finally starting to get hot. Before, it would be hot for maybe a day or two but then it would rain the next day and be freezing. The randomness has finally worn off and it has started to become an ever increasingly hot oven. The randomness was nice because it allowed us all to cool down over here, but now it's time to start wearing different clothes and time to buy some towels and waterbottles. I think that tomorrow I will go to Osaka to go shopping (just for some cooler clothes) but will also try and get some from home sent over here. It's not as popular to wear t-shirts here but lightweight dress shirts seem to be in. I have some of those but they are all long sleeve and so tomorrow I will look for some short sleeve ones. Also, I should buy a handtowel/hankerchief. It gets humid over here and sweat sems to just pour out of everyone. I already have one, but another two or three would be a good idea. Oh, just a sidenote: If you ever plan on coming to Japan BRING A SMALL HANDTOWEL WITH YOU. The bathroom's in Japan DO NOT have towels and occasionally if you are VERY lucky, you will find a hand dryer. This is usually never the case and in the beginning I had to wipe my hands on my pants until I bought a towel so if you come, that one is a MUST.
Last week, one of my Japanese friends that was studying abroad at Pacific came back to Japan. In contrast though, Lexi has packed all her bags and will soon be home. We had to say our goodbyes and she couldn't believe how fast the time went but hopefully good things will await her back home. So on the same day I said goodbye to Lexi, I got to eat lunch with Yumi. She just got back and is already looking for a job in Osaka. She lives in Nara and so her commute everyday is just unbelievable (around 2 hours EACH WAY). I honestly don't know how she does it but at least she got a short break while in America. I will probably have dinner Friday night with her and the other Pacific students in Japan as a sort of welcome back party. I will have to skip volleyball, but that's ok because there will be an extra practice on Saturday so it will all work out. The volleyball practice are still always fun. Not only are the games exciting, new students keep coming in and we all have a great time making friends. It is just absolutely impossible to remember everyone's name but I've been trying my best. Anyways, I have been neglecting my camera and my photography responsibilities, but next time I will try and post some new pictures. Maybe of the volleyball team and food as requested. Well, until next time... - Bryan
