Salut!

Hi! Hum... I really have too much pictures today, but oh well! Let's separate the weekend in three, or else I'll just lose myself! Friday! Friday was awesome! During the day the French girls and I went around the campus to take some pictures... this campus is really something! At night we were celebrating Aya and Mario's birthday, so we all went to karaoke (yes, again! I love NUFS, I get to go to karaoke more that I ever expected!) Absolutely everybody was there, and it was a lot of fun. I think I found my karaoke partner in Owen, it's just too much fun. Saturday Saturday was the Hanami day! Hanami can be translated more or less by 'Cherry blossom viewing'... I would add 'and a excuse to drink too much sake' Really, Yanick for ... read more

Bonjour troupe! Ça a passé tellement vite!

Hi! Just a short message; I'll write more in 2 or 3 days. We had this big welcome party on Friday, it was just great. Right now it's late and I have to wake up in 6 hours for the placement test for Japanese language course tomorrow, so I'll explain what we did in a next message. Just wanted to give you some pictures of it and something great that my lovely friend Ho made me read. She's Corean and I like how Corean alphabet looks like so I left the Corean translation. Jya mata ne! The 37 best things in life 1.Falling in love. 2.Laughing so hard your face hurts. 따뜻한 샤워. 4.A special glance. 특별한 시선. 5.Getting mail. 6.Hearing your ... read more

First things first, my toilet experience... The western style toilets in Japan tend to be a lot more luxurious than the ones you find in England. Most of the toilets that i found in my first week over here had heated toilet seats, so your ass wouldnt freeze as you were taking a dump. It is pointless in warm rooms though; which is where you tend to find them. The toilets that you find in the colder rooms, for example the last two places we stayed were just like the toilets you would find in a worn down part in Britain. The worst of these being in a ryokan type place in Kyoto. Instead of a heated seat there was a seat with a crack in it, so it would pinch your ass. This got painful ... read more

We're in Nagoya now, on our way to Tokyo. We've just stayed in a shite hostel in Kobe. There were lots of Chinese people in our dorm who would get up really early and talk in chinese really loudly...very annoying, but at least none of em snored. We're staying in a capsule hotel tonight...which should be quite an experience! A few days ago we got quite pissed and did karoke! You rent out a little room in a big complex and choose from thousands of songs. Even Luke would have found somethig he liked. I have some great video of Dave singing 'I'm coming out' 'I fought the law and the law won' Great times! Running out of time...will post again in the next couple of days... read more

Hi everyone, I made it. 20 hours and two days later I am here in Taiwan. Somehow the math doesn't work but you know what I mean. Hope everyone is doing well. I need to head to work but will update this after. I have attached a few pics from the flight over to Japan on the way here. We had a perfectly clear, albeit very windy, day. Mt. Fuji was just a sight to see. Beautiful and majestic, and, well, huge! Take care, FC... read more
