“KOMODO” TRAVEL AGENCY




HISTORY
KTA (Komodo Travel Agency) was established in Lombok Island in Indonesia on 6th May 2008 to provide visitors with domestic and international travel services. KTA is licensed by the Government of Indonesia to be a legal travel agency and registered with the Government Tourism Office of Mataram No. 556.3/301-IV/03/PARSENIBUD.
KTA’s name derives from a name of a wild animal called Komodo. Komodos are giant lizards live in their habitat in the Isle of Komodo that located in the Province of NTT.
KTA was founded by 6 local people namely 3 Commissaries who are responsible for the Government of Indonesia, and 3 Manager who are responsible for the Board of Founders regarding the company operation.

MISSIONS
To promote tourism in Indonesia in general and in Lombok Island in particular through a tour and travel program called Green Peace World Indonesia (to introduce Indonesia to the international visitors that Indonesia is a Green and Peace country, and a very safe place to visit or stay);
To provide our visitors with accommodating services and assistance during their visits to Indonesia;
To accompany our visitors in trekking regions in Lombok Island, such as park, forest, mountain, and rural areas;
To give information to our visitors about Indonesia and its people –Indonesia is a safe country and Indonesian people are very friendly.

We help our visitors to find out hotel accommodations, traditional entertainments, transportations, and other activities required by our visitors, either for business or leisure.

OTHER INFORMATION
We all managements of KTA grew up in Lombok Island so that we know very well about the environment of Lombok Island which is very picturesque and has a lot of interesting places to visit.
At first, you should know where you are heading for your holidays. Indonesia is the largest archipelago of the world that spreading from Sumatera (the island located in the west of Indonesia) to Papua Barat (the island located in the east of Indonesia). Indonesia consists of 33 provinces and 17,000 thousand islands; there are many beautiful islands in Indonesia, three of them are Lombok, Sumbawa, and Komodo islands. Lombok Island is the most peculiar among them.
I absolutely guarantee that, during your visit to those three islands, you will experience many unforgettable moments, especially the various tribes living in the rural areas, and you can see the way of life of those tribes; those tribes are Sasak, Sumbawa, Bima, Dompu, and Hindu. They all have their own cultural heritages, style of livings, traditions, and local languages. Your vacation is not perfect in Indonesia without visiting those 3 islands mentioned above. There are a few ancient temples and kingdoms. It is worth to know that those islands are well-known for handicraft works such woodcarving, goldware, silverware, bronzeware, silk-clothes, and many other interesting souvenirs for your families.
Besides Lombok, Sumbawa, and Komodo islands, there are 3 other small islands (called Gili Air, Gili Meno, Gili Terawangan – located next to the northern Lombok) which are fascinating places for the visitors who love unspoiled beach with white-sand and blue- water which are good for swimming, snorkeling, diving, and others.
