July 19 Balikpapan - Bunaken

Woke up at the hotel and headed out back to the commercial district by angkot. My friend was looking to buy a new camera and i wanted a fuse to fix my travel adaptor. Stores weren't open when we got there so we wandered around. Eventually Aurelie got a new camera and i got a cinnamon bun fresh from a bakery. We decided to try out the city beach and on the way i found a place for a fuse. It fixed the plug part but the usb ports still didn't work which was the main point. Most things i have are usb powered.
We wandered along a promenade when it started to pour. We found a little restaurant to wait it out and continued on. We found the tiny and rocky beach. We walked out on an elevated dock where fish were flayed and out to dry. We headed back to the hotel for me to check out.
After that was sorted Aurelie decided a swim at a pool was in order so called a few of the nice hotels to see if we could use the pool. She found one so we took angkot out there and swam and laid out in the sun for 2 hours. It was quite a nice pool area. My flight was in hours so i left by taxi to the airport saying goodbye. Perhaps years down the road we'll meet up.
Flight was delayed as is standard here. The man beside me took a video of me while i was sleeping and showed me after laughing. I wasn't impressed.
I arrived in Manado on North Sulawesi and got greeted by Lorenzo, the owner of the place i was staying while doing the dive course. We drove for some time on sonera dark back roads until we stopped near a little riverbed cove where a steamboat was waiting. We took the boat to my bungalow on Palau (Island)Bunaken. I stayed up a bit to chat with Lorenzo and eventually went to bed for the dive course the next day.
