Bali Jun-July 2011I've been in Australia for over a year now. That means I haven't seen Beata this long. I headed off to Perth, Australia to finish my degree. She went back to Ireland. I was about to finish my 3rd semester and had a six weeks of vacation ahead of me. We both decided it was a perfect time to finally meet up. Afterall, we haven't seen eachother for 13 months! Since we shared such fond memories of Bali, we decided we going to meet there.
It was only a three hour flight for me...for Beata it was a loooot more than than. On top of that the airline managed to misplace her luggage...overall, we were happy to see eagain! The funny thing is we both felt like we hadn't seen each other for not more that a couple of days, not months! We decided to stay in the same place we stayed three years ago (has it been so long??). Suprisingly, the hotel manager recognised us but...didn't offer us any discount 😊 We even managed to get the same room! Beata was too tired after the flight to go out. Bali Jun-July 2011 make me sleepy at all. Instead, I decided to rent a surfing board for the next two weeks. (yes from the same place I did before - nobody recognies me this time).
It seemed like Bali changed a bit over the course of three years. There were a lot of construction work going on. New hotels were being built (probably to meet the high demand). Sadly, this made Kuta even more noisy and hectic. What hasn't changed? The annoying locals trying to sell us weed, massage, transport etc. etc. Funnily enough, they picked some Aussie slang somewhere along the way "How you going, mate" "Hey, mate!" etc.
Two weeks passed so fast! We spent it mostly on the beach surfing, tannig, chilling you name it. Being happy together again. No one was happy when we had to separate again. Hopefully, this time it won't this long to see each other again....
