The Matrimandir, Auroville.
I went inside this place and do not have words to describe it. It is essentially a meditation hall and I think there would be few people who wouldn't be moved by it.

I LOVE PONDI! Yes, I probably could live here for quite a while. The French quarter has the most beautiful coloured buildings with wide tree lined streets and many choices of food too. It gets really hot at times though, which could be a problem. But I shan't ramble on here, just know that I love it and will be back there in the not too distant future, especially as I feel that I have made some lovely friends. The sleeper bus to On the sleeper bus to Pondi, one of the worse trips I have ever had. I thought I was going to be thrown from my bunk at any minute.

By the time we arrived at the train station for our four hour ride to Delhi, the combination of dehydration from my upset stomach and the fierce sun (it was 95 in the shade) had gotten to me. Tuesday, Oct 20th Finally I got sit down and write… We’re in the airport and waiting for our plane to Goa. The past couple days in Mumbai were crazy. This blog is late because I had a problem with my camera and couldn’t get the photos off it until now. There should be another one or two soon. It relates to the days 29/09/2009 - 4/10/2009. As you might notice, most of it was written about three weeks ago. As well as all the jungles and temples, waterfalls and mountains, beaches and rivers, elephants, lions and tigers, that you see on the tourist brochures, the typical image of India should be men peeing against walls. Dad has left now. For the few days after Kathmandu, the two of us lounged around our luxurious hotel room at the Grand Goodwin in Ram Nagar. I arrived in Delhi on October 13th, at about 4 in the morning, I wasn't able to sleep so I hit streets and took some pictures. The first few days in Delhi we're so overwhelming, all the horns, people, animals, and smells left me needing to get the hell out of Delhi. I am in Khajuraho, a small town famous for its erotic temples! This place was highly recommended to me not because I’m bien tai(perverted) but because the sculptures are truly unique. The old kingdom in Khajuraho had a small population and so they heavily promoted sex so that their society can grow. It eventually grew to a very large kingdom. Well people, as you can probably see by now; I'm landed safe(?) and sound in Delhi. Not too much to report from the trip over. today yet another early start, nimrod the driver seemed to not be his usual self ... we were off to pushkar which he said was a 5 hour journey but it didnt seem it on the map..... we had a puncture about 1/2 an hour into the journey and as you can see from the photos (to follow) he wasnt happy, he looked like bella when he got turned down for the school basketball team because of his feet ...... they were 18 inches too near his head ... we saw a couple of accidents one (in photo) must have been [View Full Entry]
