t-143 days to mysore I don't remember the last time I have been this excited. I bought my plane ticket two days ago and have been doing endless research on India. I leave on January 16th 2006 and arrive in Delhi on the 17th. I met a man who owns clothing store on the block where I work and he's asked his family in Delhi to meet me at the airport. The Taj Mahal

The Taj Mahal (meaning crown palace) is situated in the industrial town of Agra about 200km southeast of Delhi in Uttar Pradesh. I was compelled to get up early and see the Taj Mahal at sunrise as this is the best time to see it apparently, I was not disappointed. I entered through the east gate at 6.30 am. The Taj Mahal is the resting place of Emperor Shah Jahan's second wife, Mumtaz Mahal who died during labour. Flies in India are dumb. They have not evolved here to become the finely tuned machines of hateful annoyance like their cousins in Australia. My current S.R. (Strike Rate) is 96.7%. Indian mozzies on the other hand are evil bastards. They are disease ridden, silent, and very, very quick. A single mozzie will take you around 15-20 minutes to kill. Where do I start? 11 days ago I arrived in Shimla in Himachal Pradesh, the summer capital of the state knowing I was bound for the mountains but with no plan.
