Delhi, the capital of the country is not just the city with a lot of monuments, heritage sights, museums, parks, but new age, well advanced structures, styles, people and so much more.
Delhi is one of the oldest cities in the world and it has a few remains of times gone back. The old Delhi a place worth visiting for anyone has the monuments such as Jama Masjid and a lot of cultural significance can be seen there. This place also has a lot of places where the yummiest food can be tasted. Especially for non-veg lovers, around Jama Masjid a whole lot of restaurants serving Mughal cuisines are an absolute favorite with people. Other monuments, such as Humayun’s tomb, Qutub Minar are a must for the Mughal art.
A 160 feet tall India Gate near the Parliament house is another site which must not be missed. The recently constructed Akshardham Temple is another milestone representing Indian architecture at is best. The state emporiums and the museums are another options.
For shopping, flee markets such as Janpath, etc can serve well.
Coming to Jaipur- the capital of Rajasthan this city is full of colors, a city which has many monuments again, but different from the ones in Delhi. Hawa-Mahal, is one of the finest monuments here. Also known as ‘Pink City’, its a city which was constructed in 16th century, and a walk around this old walled city can bring you to a different platform all together. Distant from the hustle bustle of a fast moving metro city, this city has a perfect blending of Mughal and Rajput architecture.
The museum holds a collection of rare manuscripts, paintings, weapons, carpets and costumes, and Mughal and Rajasthani miniatures.
One can also explore the markets for a fine collection of leatherwork, woodblock prints, handicrafts, perfumes, jewellery and not to miss the city’s ever famous traditional blue pottery.
Established in 1526 as the capital of Mughal reign-Agra, a city which has a lot of monuments, forts etc. to be visited.
Agra is a place which has three world heritage sights, the Taj Mahal, which is also the Seventh Wonder of the World, the Agra Fort and the Fatehpur Sikri.
One can also visit the Also visit Itmad - ul - daulah’s tomb, often referred to as the ‘Baby Taj’. It is so referred since it is a pre-Taj era marble structure with garden layouts and inlay works and the architectural beauty.

The tour of Delhi- Jaipur- Agra is a good option for anyone wanting to see the beauty of Mughal Architecture and different cultures woven with it. Both the cities are at a distance of 5 hours by car from Delhi and hence are convenient to visit to, even if you have less time.
