Firstly I will start off by saying that in writing this blog my spelling as well as grammar is really poor but I will try my bestest to make some kind of coherant sense.
TBH i've really wanted to travel for ages I found the whole idea exciting, and the last day has certaintly been an education. What I didn't relise was what I was leaving behind. When I left my Mum and Rachel at the airport I opened there gifts and I felt very happy. I had been mocking Rachel saying how much she would miss me but it never really occured i'd miss her. i guess you never really relise what you have till its gone.
Excellant well I have been in Calcutta for a day now and its quite a culture shock. The Journey down to Delhi was quite tiring and the 6 hr wait at the airport was beyond boring but it did liven up when the cricket was turned on between India and Australia, I could see people just starring at me and it felt kinda weird. Once I arrived at Calcutta i met up with Nathan. He was very easy to spot as he was the only one with a white face and a bright green t shirt on. Firstly what shocked me was the whole bartering thing. Nathan said openely to the guy what price he was willing to pay and the guy had to accept. So we got a 1hr journey by taxi for less than a fiver which was quite funny. Weirdly half way through the car just stopped and the 2 guys had a huge argument in the front and one got thrown out. What added to the comedy was Nathan who was shouting at them to drive on otherwise we wouldnt pay them. Also add in that there absolutly no rules ont he road this guy drove through a crossroads whilst the light was red and nearly had a few accidents
Then I arrived in the heart of calcutta the place Nathan had booked up was a dump and at this point was kinda worried, but the real concern was when we walked on the street. I had people grabbing at me, chasing after me, stalking me. This obviously is very concerning. We managed to turn it into something humerous though as i now tell people there either very boring, they smell, or other random words to get rid of them. One old lady with demonic teeth i shouted to GET which made me laugh.
Today, We booked up a safari trip, not sure to where as well as booking accomadation. Were pretty sorted for the next 3 weeks now which is exciting. We was supposed to check out at 12 today but the tourist board tok forever and the lady behind the desk was useless. She even ticked the box saying we was a girl grrrr....
Anyhoo i'll update you all soon, just to let you know i safe oh and im teaching nathan poker lol..
