thanks
Hi, this place is in Uttaranchal. to get there, you go first to a little town called Joshimath, the take a local bus or a truck or whatever you'll find to a place called Govindhat (takes about one hour if you don't get stuck to the pilgrim-road...). Then from Govindhat the only way towards the Valley is to take the old Sikh pilgrim road to a place high up, called Ghangariya. The road takes around 4 hours by feet. You can also take a mule, but walking is less painful, because it's uphill all the way. Then from Ghangariya you walk around 1km to the gate of the Valley. And then in the Valley of Flowers you can do different trekkings. I remember they were something like 12 km long. It's a great place, of course depending on the season!
